VisionPRO 8000

Yesterday marked the completion of our air conditioner replacement project. Andrew from A.D. Wiggins Mechanical finished up the installation of our bouncing baby 2.5 ton central air conditioning unit for the main level. The new thermostat that was installed is more advanced then my first computer (TRS-80). In fact it had to be updated for the 2007 DST changes.

A tragedy strikes…

Last Tuesday evening, the house that Linda, Jim, Brian, Kelsey, and Ginger called home went up in flames. For those that don’t know Linda is one of Cindy’s sisters. Everyone is okay, though Jim suffered some ankle injuries while trying to get out of the house. Brian was away at school and Linda and Kelsey were at Kelsey’s cheerleading practice. …Continue reading →

Tucker pulls away from the pack…

The other night Cindy and I took Tucker for a walk. We strapped on his leash (originally looked like this) and went outside. Mr. Tucker saw a neighbor cat and took off running towards it and very shortly I was left holding the shell of his leash. This is all that was left. “Live like you were dying…” – revisited

About a year ago, I posted a reference to this Tim McGraw song. It so happens that this topic came up again yesterday while talking to Cindy. I am still a bit perplexed on why people don’t live like they were dying. As I said a year ago, shouldn’t we be taking every moment of the day and making it …Continue reading →

Join me in congratulating Cindy on studying so hard and passing her real estate exams on the first try. While she hasn’t activated her license, she is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Virginia.

Two more resturants…

To add to the list of resturants that have become favorites… Moes Southwest Grill – I have to thank Will and Erica for this one. I am not normally a south west/Mexican food fan, but dang…this stuff is addictive. Cindy and I are officially addicted to this stuff. I had it for lunch this past week and I had to …Continue reading →

The season is upon us…

Today Cindy and I planned to do work around the house. On my list was to paint the upstairs hallway “Almond Oil” from the Eddie Bauer collection at Lowes. Cindy was going to work on cleaning the house (bless her heart). Around 10a, we hear the noise of a lawn mower…we look at the calendar and then look outside. Our …Continue reading →
