Coming along…
Written by Greg on September 29, 2007 – 7:43 pm -Some of you may have heard that Cindy and I have started a project to re-design our family room. At this point a lot of the work is done, we are waiting on the painting and carpet. Once this is done we will need to wait for our furniture from Crate and Barrel to be delivered, but we are narrowing down on the room. Here is a run down of what we are doing:
- Replace the couch with the Crate and Barrel Axis Sectional in a Mocha micro-fiber suede
Move the large Rojo cabinate into the dining roomand replace it with the Rojo Media Cabinate (also from Crate and Barrel, Rob from the Short Pump store is our new best friend).Remove the “bathroom marble” fireplace surround and replace with the same granite from our kitchenBuild and install a mantel around the fireplaceRemoving the built-in over the fireplaceReplacing the TV and mounting it on the opposite wall (we choose the Samsung LNT5271F, 52″ LCD)Install new surround sound systemPaint the roomWire audi/video from the new TV to the built-in behind the sofa- Replace my office door with a glass insert door
Finally, new carpet (removing the crappy builder burber)
Today we came home to find our mantel installation completed. See the before and after shots below:

Remembering September 11
Written by Greg on September 11, 2007 – 8:18 am -As we start our day, let us not forget to take a moment from our lives to remember those died on September 11, 2001. Let us not forget the young men and woman who have lost their lives fighting President Bush’s War on Terror.

Still going…
Written by Greg on September 10, 2007 – 7:45 pm -Well, 19 days in and I am down about 11 pounds. I do have to say this in general is a bit easier then I expected, though there are days that are harder then others. Today however has been a much easier day then normaly. I ended dinner with about half my points available, so I am enjoying some ice cream for the first time in a while and boy is it good ![]()
