The vows…
Written by Greg on November 7, 2004 – 9:11 am -Several people mentioned that they had difficulty hearing Cindy and I share our vows. I think it was a combination of emotion and our colds, so we thought we would share them with you here:
Cindy’s vows to Greg:
Greg, on our first date, you impressed me by cooking me dinner, pleased me by driving into DC to see the FDR Memorial. And as we walked pass the White House and around the Mall, I realized you didn’t have a clue where the memorial was; you calmly took out your cell phone and called Stephen for directions. At that moment, I knew you were a man unlike anyone I ever met.
Since that day, you have brought happiness and joy back into my life. Your kindness and patience never cease to amaze me; your love and understanding gives me the freedom to follow my dreams while the life we have built together provides me with the security I need.
So today, before our family and friends, I promise to be your best friend and confidant, your coach and cheerleader, your back-scratcher, your lover and the mother of your children. I vow to encourage you to grow, to keep my heart and mind open to you, to share your laughter and dry your tears, and to respect and cherish you as we grow old together.
Greg’s vows to Cindy:
Cindy, as we stand here before our friends and family to share what we have known for more than three years, I want you to know, that in this time, you have taught me to love and that it can be easy to say those three little words. You taught me that as a couple, we share the burden of daily life and accomplish more.
I can’t help but think of what the future holds.
I can’t promise that we won’t face difficult times or that I will be easy to understand. I can’t promise to be the perfect mate or father.
But with your love, I can promise that together, we will laugh and cry, share happiness and sorrow. I promise to put our needs above my own and to support your hopes and dreams. I will always do my best to comfort you in times of need and listen when you need an ear. I promise to push you to succeed. And I promise to be the man that you inspire me to be.

[...] Well today market the two year anniversary of the day we said “I do.” It is hard to believe that two years ago, we exchanged our wedding vows surrouned by our friends and family on the terrace of Ford’s Colony Country Club. [...]
